Description

This high-performance throttle cable kit features a 36-inch flexible stainless steel braided housing designed specifically for 1997–2007 Chevrolet LS1 engines (4.8L, 5.3L, 5.7L, and 6.0L). The kit is engineered for durability and smooth operation, providing a long-lasting replacement for factory cables in custom engine swaps or performance builds. It includes a precision-cut inner wire, high-quality aluminum fittings, and an adjustment wrench for a custom, secure fit.

Instructions:

1. Remove the existing throttle cable from the accelerator pedal and the throttle body linkage.
2. Route the new braided housing through the firewall, ensuring it follows a smooth path without sharp kinks or proximity to high-heat sources.
3. Secure the aluminum bulkhead fitting to the firewall and the threaded adjuster to the throttle body bracket.
4. Feed the inner stainless steel wire through the housing, attaching it to the accelerator pedal at one end and the throttle linkage at the other.
5. Use the provided hex key to tighten the cable stop and adjust the tension until there is no slack and the throttle reaches full opening.

Precaution:

Verify that the throttle returns freely to the idle position without binding and ensure all locknuts are fully tightened to prevent cable slippage during operation.
