PQY Front Wishbone Rear Control Arm Bushing Kit – For 00–06 BMW Mini Cooper S R50/R52/R53 – Black & Red

Description

This performance bushing kit replaces the high-wear rear rubber mounts of the front wishbones on 2000–2006 BMW Mini Cooper models. Constructed with durable black outer housings and red polyurethane inserts, these bushings feature a hexagonal center bore to provide more precise suspension geometry and improved steering feedback compared to factory units.

Instructions:

1. Safely lift the vehicle and remove the front wheels to access the front control arm (wishbone) assembly.
2. Unbolt the rear control arm brackets from the subframe and use a press tool to remove the original rubber bushings from the brackets.
3. Clean the interior of the metal brackets and press in the new black outer bushing housings until they are fully seated.
4. Lubricate the red polyurethane inserts and slide them into the black housings, followed by the two red hexagonal spacer rings.
5. Slide the assembled brackets onto the hexagonal ends of the control arms and bolt the brackets back onto the vehicle subframe.

Precaution:

Professional alignment is highly recommended after installation, as replacing control arm bushings directly affects the vehicle’s toe and caster settings.
