Description

This high-performance short shifter is designed for Toyota 5-speed steel case gearboxes, offering a significant reduction in shift throw for quicker, more precise gear changes. Constructed from durable chrome-plated steel, the kit includes a heavy-duty pivot base and all necessary mounting hardware to enhance the driving experience in classic Supra, Celica, and compatible Mazda or Ford applications.

Instructions:

1. Remove the gear knob and center console trim to access the factory shifter assembly.
2. Unscrew the mounting bolts from the original shifter base and lift the assembly out of the gearbox.
3. Align the new silver short shifter pivot base with the mounting holes on the gearbox casing.
4. Secure the base using the provided silver bolts and nuts, ensuring the shifter sits correctly within the internal linkage.
5. Reattach the upper shifter arm, tighten all hardware, and test the gear engagement through all five speeds before reinstalling the interior trim.

Precaution:

Ensure the shifter base is perfectly aligned to avoid gear grinding and verify that all mounting hardware is tightened to factory torque specifications.
