This premium flexible oil dipstick is designed for 1965–1990 Chevrolet Big Block engines, including the 396, 427, 454, and 502 cubic inch displacements. It features a black braided stainless steel housing for superior heat resistance and flexibility, allowing for easy routing around headers or custom engine bay components. The kit includes a billet aluminum handle and a mounting bracket to ensure a secure and accessible fit.

Instructions:

1. Insert the lower end of the dipstick tube into the designated dipstick hole on the engine block until it is fully seated.
2. Route the flexible black braided housing away from direct contact with exhaust headers to prevent heat damage.
3. Secure the mounting bracket located near the handle to a suitable bolt on the intake manifold or cylinder head.
4. Insert the inner stainless cable into the housing and push the black aluminum handle down until it clicks into place.
5. Check the oil level and, if necessary, calibrate the dipstick markings against a factory unit to ensure accurate readings for your specific oil pan depth.

Precaution:

Ensure the dipstick is fully seated before taking a reading and verify that the flexible housing does not interfere with moving parts like the steering shaft or throttle linkage.
